I'm Hong Chi, the maker of Dot Journal. Why I built this: I've been using productivity apps for years—Todoist, Things, Notion, you name it. But I always felt like I was juggling too many apps: one for tasks, another for habits, a separate mood tracker, and they all wanted my data on their servers. I wanted something simpler. One app that combines bullet journalling, habits, and mood tracking. And most importantly—an app that respects my privacy. What makes Dot Journal different: 🔒 Local-first — Your data lives on your device. No accounts, no cloud required, no tracking. ⌚ Apple Watch app — Log tasks, complete habits, and track moods from your wrist. Even works offline. 📊 All-in-one — Tasks + habits + moods in a single, focused experience instead of scattered across multiple apps. 🎨 Designed for iOS — Dark mode, haptic feedback, and smooth animations. It feels native because it is. What's next: I'm actively working on insights and analytics to help you understand your productivity patterns. Would love to hear what features would make this useful for you! Happy to answer any questions 🙏
