Dominican Audio Decoder - Decode fast Dominican Spanish with AI

I built Dominican Audio Decoder because I kept seeing the same frustration from Spanish learners: They study Spanish for years, understand teachers slowly… but completely freeze when real Dominicans speak. The problem is not vocabulary. It’s speed, pronunciation changes, slang, connected speech, and the reality that everyday Dominican Spanish sounds very different from textbook Spanish. Most language apps focus on grammar and memorization. I wanted to build something focused specifically on listening comprehension and real audio decoding. Dominican Audio Decoder lets learners upload or record audio, slow it down, replay small chunks, follow transcripts, and train their ear to understand authentic Dominican conversations naturally. This project started from my experience teaching Dominican Spanish through Español con las Cibaeñas and seeing how many students felt discouraged because they thought: “I learned Spanish… so why can’t I understand people?” Building this has also been a huge learning experience for me as I explore AI-powered language learning tools and audio-based education.
