I built a document automation API that converts HTML, webpages, files, templates to PDF & Merge PDFs

by•

Hi everyone,

I'm Zaryab, and I just launched Documol, a service that creates PDFs automatically.

I built this because "just add a PDF feature" is never actually small. It starts with one tool for HTML. Then another for rendering webpages. Another for converting files. Another for merging. And that's before the real work begins: headless browsers to keep alive, rendering infrastructure to scale, compute costs that spike under load, memory leaks you chase for days. At the end of it, you're left with a PDF that barely resembles the design you started with.

Documol puts it all behind one PDF engine, with nothing to host or maintain:

- HTML to PDF

- Webpage (URL) to PDF

- File to PDF (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more)

- Merge several PDFs into one

- Template + your data to PDF (invoices, reports, proposals)

Two ways to use it:

- REST API: one endpoint, one API key, a simple JSON request per mode. Add a callback URL to run it asynchronously.

- Bubble plugin: add your API key once, fill in an action's fields with dynamic data, and drop it into a workflow. No code needed.

FREE to try: 20 generations on signup, no payment needed.

I'd love your take:

1. What do you use for PDFs today, and what's the most annoying part?

2. Which mode would you try first?

3. What's missing that would stop you from trying it?
