How much time does your team spend writing release notes?

by

I'm curious how different teams handle release notes and documentation.

In my experience, a lot of information already exists in requirements, tickets, screenshots, specifications, and internal notes, yet someone still has to manually turn all of that into release notes, user guides, or changelogs.

I'm wondering:

  • Who owns documentation in your team?

  • How long does a typical release note take to create?

  • Do you use templates, AI, or a manual process?

  • What's the most frustrating part of documentation?

While building DocSprint, I've been surprised by how different every team's workflow is, so I'd love to hear how others approach it.
