We’re so excited to be back!
When we first launched Doco, our goal was to make using Word less of a chore. Today, we’re taking that mission a giant leap forward with Doco Agent Mode.
We realized the biggest problem isn’t just writing nuanced content, it’s also formatting, editing, and revising.
That’s what Agent Mode is all about. It’s an AI agent you can delegate high-level tasks to, and it now makes direct edits inside Microsoft Word, with track changes enabled!

@jimzzhang Congrats on the launch! Agent Mode sounds like a real game-changer actually being able to delegate editing and formatting tasks directly inside Word (with track changes!) is huge. It’s such a natural evolution toward true collaborative AI.
Curious, how well does Doco handle complex academic or legal documents with heavy formatting and citations? That’s one area where even good AI tools tend to struggle.

Doco actually does really well with complex documents especially academic + legal because everything runs inside Word with full awareness of styles, sections, headings, citations, tables, and tracked changes. Agent Mode can clean up formatting, fix citations, restyle sections, or rewrite arguments without breaking structure.
We’re still improving edge cases (huge footnote-heavy documents mostly), but it already performs far better than other tools because it's editing the real .docx, not a copy of it.

Browser agents usually generate a copy of your doc. Doco edits the real .docx inside Word with full awareness of styles + track changes, so the formatting stays intact.
For feedback, we’re keeping it super close to the work itself, the biggest signal is how many of Doco’s suggested changes get accepted vs. rejected. That tells us immediately whether the agent is helping or missing the mark.
