Big update: DockDuck 1.1.0 is out 🎉

A week after launch day, this is the biggest release DockDuck has shipped. A good part of it came straight from your comments and from what early users asked for, so thank you for that.

Here is what's new.

Workspaces

The headline feature. Save a window with everything in it: its tabs, its single or dual pane layout, view modes, and sort settings, all under a name, a color and a symbol. Then bring the whole thing back in one click from the new chip in the title bar.

You can capture the window exactly as it is, or build a workspace step by step with a small wizard. Turn on auto sync and the workspace quietly keeps up with you as you work. Each workspace can open in its own window, so "Client handoff" and "Personal" never mix. There is also a manager panel to see, edit and clean up everything you have saved.

One license, three Macs

Your license now covers up to 3 Macs at the same time, at no extra cost. A new Devices section in Settings, under Account, shows which Macs are signed in and lets you free a seat you no longer use. No emails to support, no reinstalling.

Your clouds, unified

iCloud Drive gets a first class section in the sidebar, with the same unified view Finder shows. Dropbox, Google Drive and Box appear automatically when their app is installed, each with its own icon. Download status badges tell you what is local at a glance: click to pull a file down, or use Remove Download to free the space.

Quick Actions and Organize into Folders

Two power tools, both native and both undoable:

• Quick Actions: convert an image to PNG, JPEG, HEIC or TIFF, resize it to a preset width, or combine several PDFs into one, right from the context menu.

• Organize into Folders: point it at a messy folder and it sorts everything into subfolders by kind, file type, date or first letter, with a live preview of the plan before you commit. One undo puts everything back.

Smaller things you will notice

• Update notices in the app. When a new version is ready, a small card appears in the window. See what's new and install when you want, or dismiss it for that version.

• Alternate Dock icons. Pro users can pick between the classic tile and two new duck icons in Settings, under Appearance. The Dock, the menu bar and the About screen all follow.

• Pinned tabs as chips. A pinned tab shrinks to a compact chip with a pin badge, so it stays put and your working tabs get the room.

• Free space at a glance. Every drive in the sidebar now shows how much space is left.

• Locked files ask, not fail. Trashing a locked file now prompts you, unlock and continue or cancel, instead of silently doing nothing.

Everything above ships in all 14 languages DockDuck supports, and the update installs itself: if you already have DockDuck, it will offer 1.1.0 on its own.
