A friend of mine asked me to help his dad by building a system that could answer questions from the Kenya Law Reports archives, which is an open access archive of legal documents. I built a prototype, demoed it to an IT manager at a bank, and a week later demoed it to a genetics research organization that ended up being our first paying clients.
