Dewey Labs - AI answers your audience can actually trust

by
We're excited to introduce Dewey Labs - coming out of beta today. What started as a way to help expert content creators build safe, reliable access to their archives has grown into something we're genuinely proud of: an enterprise-grade answer engine with deep integrations, custom guardrails, and rigorous evaluation sets. Built for domains where accuracy matters - such as health, parenting, elections, and education. We'd love your feedback.

Hey PH 👋 I'm Scotter, co-founder of Dewey (built it with my co-founder Alex). We started Dewey because we were new parents Googling everything at 3am and getting garbage answers. The experts we trusted had great content — but it was buried in archives nobody could search. So we built an AI that answers only from the expert's own content. No web scraping. No hallucinated advice. If it doesn't know, it says "I don't know" and routes the question back to the expert. Two years later, Dewey powers knowledge bases across parenting, health, news, and education. ParentData has handled 420K+ conversations. Spotlight PA ran election coverage with zero hallucinations. The thing that surprised us most: the unanswered questions are as valuable as the answered ones. Every gap Dewey surfaces becomes the expert's next article, guide, or FAQ. We're full-service — we build and manage every deployment — because getting expert content wrong has real consequences. Would love your feedback. What would you want to ask your favorite expert at 3am?

Hey all! I'm Alex, the other co-founder here at Dewey. We're long overdue to share what we've been building, but proud to do so today.

As Scott said, Dewey started from a deeply personal place of trying to find trusted answers to our questions - when we really just wanted to ask an expert like Emily Oster. But what started there has developed to something much bigger, as we think carefully about the role human expertise - and access to that information - will play in an increasingly AI world.

We're proud to work with an incredible cast of partners to help share their knowledge in a way that is safe, consistent, and easy to use. And we're officially out of beta mode, so happy to meet any of you exploring ideas or potential projects in this space!
