Welcome to Devoid Viewer — quick start & everything you need to know

Thank you for downloading Devoid Viewer. Here is everything you need to get started.

Opening images

Double-click any supported image file to open it, or drag and drop an image onto the window. Devoid Viewer will automatically find all other images in the same folder so you can browse through them immediately.

Navigation

Arrow keys, Page Up/Down, or the scroll wheel all move between images. The viewer wraps around at the end of the folder so you can keep scrolling in either direction.

Fullscreen

Press F or F11 to enter fullscreen. Press either key again or Escape to return to the normal window.

Other shortcuts

• Delete — permanently deletes the current image (asks for confirmation first)

• Q — quits the application

• Double-click — maximises or restores the window

Supported formats

JPEG, PNG, GIF (including animated), WebP, BMP, TIFF, ICO, and JPEG XL.

Wrong file extension

If an image has the wrong file extension — for example a PNG file saved as .jpg — Devoid Viewer will detect this automatically, display the image correctly, and offer to rename it to the right extension.

Live folder updates

If you add or delete images in the current folder while Devoid Viewer is open, the viewing list updates automatically without needing to restart.
