We're focused on developing a stable and open platform where you can search through millions of royalty-free images, and import elements from existing PSD and PDF files. We also allow people to design and edit from any device, including mobile phones. Hey @thejeremycarson, we're focused on developing a stable and open platform where you can expect to render files with pixel perfect precision, search through millions of royalty-free images, and import elements from existing PSD and PDF files. We also allow people to design and edit from any device, including mobile phones. Our plans and how we see the technology being used in the future is quite different from the other players in the online design market. Regarding the images, we aim to be more than a platform where people come to create generic social media posts, so the ability to import your own content is essencial to us.

Hey @saijo_george, we are always going to keep a free version with loads of free content. Our monetisation plans include team collaboration and module upgrades. But at the moment, our sole focus is to improve the core product and nail the user experience.

Hey @benjaminmock, we were originally asking for Facebook friends to facilitate the design collaboration process. I am a big spam hater, so we were never going to use anyone's friends information unless they wanted to invite their friends to co-design/view a project. But I hear you - this could have been scaring people away. We changed it and the new sign up process no longer requests this information. Check it out www.desygner.com :)

Hi @adigold1, thanks for your comment! The market space for online design is huge - 84% of communications will be visually based by 2018. Personally I have a lot of respect for Guy Kawasaki and the Canva team, but our plans for Desygner and how we see the technology being used are very different from other online design tools :) Hope you enjoy using the Desygner!
