What would you want DeskArcade to do beyond games?

DeskArcade launched as 10 tiny games that live over your desktop but a few people have started asking "what else could this do?", and honestly I'm curious where the community's head is at.

The core of it isn't really the games it's the transparent layer that floats over your real screen and can react to what you're doing, without taking over your workflow. Games are just the first thing living on it.

So I'm genuinely asking: what would you want on that layer?

A few directions I've been mulling:

  • 🎯 A focus companion something that reacts to your work (a pet that thrives when you're heads-down?)

  • ✏️ Quick annotation draw over your screen during a share without a separate tool

  • ⏱️ Ambient glanceable stuff next meeting, a timer, now-playing, quietly at the edge

  • 🤖 Some kind of on-screen AI helper that doesn't steal your window

…or something I haven't thought of. I'm building this solo and the roadmap is genuinely shaped by what people ask for, so I'd love to hear it even "nah, keep it just games."

What would make this live on your desktop all day?
