Hello Hunters!!! This is Praveen, I am working on a Climate project, and I am excited to share the worlds first product that will create a store of value for Forest and Biodiversity. DeBi – Decentralised Biodiversity will provide ownership of the land through geo-location, where Biodiversity will be restored, protected and preserved. A token will be generated when a new area is protected and each token will represent 3x3 meter square of the land area, which then can be traded on the exchanges creating store of value for biodiversity. The Problem World Economic Forum report estimates the total economic value of forests is as much as $150 trillion - double the value of global stock markets. Yet, forest destruction and biodiversity collapse are accelerating. Climate crisis is real and restoration activities can only meet 10% of the 1 billion hectares of the required land to be restored by 2030 and the funding for these activities comes through government and charities which is not sufficient and existing solution such as carbon capture programs do not restore biodiversity or the ecosystems, they create mono-culture productive forest so it can be cut down after a period. How DeBi can solve the problem? DeBi – Decentralised Biodiversity will create one token and link it based on geo-location for every 3x3 meter square of the land area is restored and protected and allowing it to be traded on the exchanges where store of value will be created for the biodiversity. Anyone can verify the location and visit the place; this ensures trust in the restoration process and the land ownership will be under non profit organisation. Wondering what the logo is all about? It is the braille alphabet Z, to show that the GenZ were blinded by green washing. I am a millennial and only in the last decade I have seen so many forest fires, rivers drying up and lands just bare. I believe GenZ and the Future generations are born in this chaos and believe they have the true potential to change how we value Forest and Biodiversity. ------------------------------------ The product is still in the early stage and appreciate your feedback and comments. Hi, congrats on launch! Really like the idea, this could also be great for preventing greenwashing. How are you securing the rights over land? I'm also sure that companies that do green projects monitoring, eg Sylvera, would be interested in this 💪

@majamazur Thanks very much for your feedback. We are currently planning to buy degraded land out right and place them under a non profit organisation, i.e under DeBi Foundation, so it ensures the land is protected at any cost with full visibility. I am following closely on Sylvera and other organisation who provides carbon ratings so they can certify, which can be added to the blockchain for transparency.
