Daybreak: Smart Alarms - Alarm groups, done right

by
Daybreak is an alarm app built for real schedules, not one-off alarms. Instead of juggling individual alarms, you: • Create reusable routines for your week • Adjust a single day without breaking everything • Add one-offs when life changes See your whole week at a glance, pause schedules for trips, and keep your default routine intact. Built for the way real schedules actually work.

I built Daybreak because the default Clock app works fine, until your WFH day changes, you need to pick up the kids and real life happens. The moment you need small changes, one early morning, a random day off, a trip it turns into constantly editing alarms, duplicating them, or trying not to forget to switch things back. What I wanted instead was something that treats your week as a system, not a pile of alarms. A default routine you can rely on, with the ability to change just one day without unraveling everything else. That separation between “what my week normally looks like” and “what’s different today” became the core idea. Early on, I went down the path of adding more power with rules, automation, edge cases but it quickly started to feel like overkill for something that should be simple. I eventually boiled it down to a few main features: reusable routines, one-day overrides, and a clean view of your week. Curious how others handle this today. Do you just edit alarms as things come up, or have you found a system that actually work?
