I'm Mark. Built this over six months as a solo project. The puzzle generator took longer than the app itself. Each case gets assembled from a content library (60 suspects, 30 weapons, 176 locations, 67 informant characters), then a solver checks it has exactly one answer. If it doesn't, the puzzle gets binned and a new one generates. No AI creates the content. One puzzle a day, about ten minutes. It fills the same slot as the morning crossword or Wordle. Hosting costs are basically nothing because everything is pre-generated and cached on a CDN. A Cloudflare Worker verifies answers server-side so nobody can cheat by reading the client code. That's how free-with-ads stays viable for one person. Interested to hear if the difficulty curve lands right. Mondays should feel approachable. Fridays should make you work for it.
