Hey Product Hunt community! 👋 To young children, time is completely abstract—they just don't grasp digital clocks or shrinking countdown circles. I built Crony to turn that friction into a friendly game. Instead of a stressful, ticking alarm, a cute character walks across a colorful path of cells toward a goal. The transformation in our house was instant: my kids started racing the character to finish their tasks, realizing that more "stars" or "whales" meant more time. Note: The app is free to download and includes standard ads to help support development costs, but I made sure they never compromise data privacy.

This is such a clever approach to teaching kids about time. One thing that would make it even better for our family: a way to create a sequence of mini-tasks within one timer, like brushing teeth then getting dressed then shoes on, with the character moving to each new step. Right now we have to set three separate timers back to back which kind of breaks the magic of the game.

Thanks a lot! The approach regarding routines is interesting. Up to this point, I’ve focused simply on the "passage of time," but routines are undoubtedly an essential part of how the app is expected to be used.

I’ll consider this for a future update or maybe a spin-off project.
