How I automated machine-readable files (JSON-LD & MCP) for site owners for AI compensation

by

Like a lot of independent publishers, I’ve spent years building content sites, only to watch AI crawlers harvest everything completely unchecked—while the legal landscape for data licensing remains a total mess.

I realized that the biggest hurdle for normal site owners isn't just wanting fair compensation; it's the technical friction. Major AI labs and applications look for machine-readable discovery files, RSL policies, and structured registry feeds to know if a site is legitimate. But most independent WordPress publishers don't have the time or coding background to manually manage JSON-LD schemas or Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoints.

Also, I built a centralized infrastructure layer combined with a lightweight WordPress plugin (ContentDividend) to automate this exact workflow. specific to Wordpress sites

How the architecture works behind the scenes:

  • Automated Syncing: Instead of writing code, site owners install a simple plugin that connects back to a centralized hub, dynamically updating public records and machine-readable manifests as content changes.

  • Coexisting with Existing Stacks: It's designed to work alongside edge security tools like Cloudflare and monetization networks like TollBit, serving specifically as the machine-readable registry and marketplace layer.

  • Flexible Licensing Paths: It supports both individual publisher-to-buyer direct negotiations and aggregated group licensing pools tracked via Stripe Connect.

Why I'm sharing this here: We just finished our initial infrastructure rollout and are seeing early automated crawler traffic from major tech ecosystems. Before a wider rollout, I'm opening up a closed soft-launch window for independent site owners to test the WordPress integration.

To help bootstrap the early database, I’m waiving the Pro subscription for Wordpress users and giving early testers ContentDividend + Divvy (an AI licensing helper) free for life.

If you run a WordPress site and want to get your content structured and positioned for the future of AI commerce without hand-coding JSON files, you can check out the soft-launch page here with FREE lifetime access:

I’d love to hear your technical thoughts on how you are handling AI scraping right now, or answer any questions about how the registry mechanics work. Of course, Wordpress is just one platform we are optimized more. ALL website owners can join and get their site listed in the public marketplace and start licensing their content to AI.
