Conduit - Android file transfer for Mac, over USB or Wi-Fi
byβ’
Conduit opens your Android phone in a clean, native Mac window β copy files to your Mac and back, preview media before copying, search the whole device, and delete files right from the app, over USB or Wi-Fi. No account, no ads, nothing to the cloud. Notarized & universal (Apple Silicon + Intel), macOS 10.15+. A simple alternative to Google's abandoned Android File Transfer.

Hey Product Hunt π I'm the developer.
Google's Android File Transfer has been broken / abandoned for years, so we built the tool we always wanted β first for ourselves, then polished it to share.
Conduit opens your Android phone in a clean, native Mac window: copy files to your Mac and back (fast, both ways), preview photos / video / text before copying, search the whole device, and delete files right from the app. Works over USB or Wi-Fi.
Notarized + universal (Apple Silicon & Intel, macOS 10.15+), with no account, no ads, and nothing sent to the cloud. One honest catch: it uses Google's adb, so there's a quick one-time setup β the app walks you through it.
Free / pay-what-you-want.
Also on Homebrew: brew install --cask KirsuLab/tap/conduit
Genuinely keen on feedback β if anything's missing or off, tell me here and I'll fix it π
Finally a real replacement for Android File Transfer. The media preview before copying is exactly what I always wished the old app had. One idea: add a way to queue up multiple transfers and let them run in the background so I can keep working while a big batch of photos copies over.
@rzabzcxΒ Thank you β "a real replacement for Android File Transfer" genuinely means a lot. And you're spot on a transfer queue that runs in the background, so you can keep browsing while a big batch copies, is a great call. Added to the list and coming in an update. Really appreciate you sharing it!
genuinely love that it just runs natively in a Mac window without any cloud middleman, feels like the kind of thing Apple should have built years ago. the media preview before copying is a really nice touch
@egezginci33676Β Thank you, this genuinely made my day! "No cloud middleman" was the whole reason I built it β everything stays between your Mac and your phone, nothing else. And really glad the media preview landed for you too. Comments like this are what make shipping it worth it :)
Drag-and-drop folders between Finder and the phone view would make this feel truly native on Mac. Right now you have to navigate into a folder before copying, and being able to drop a whole project folder onto the device window would save a lot of clicks for anyone moving design assets or photo libraries over.
@ebrartanso65502Β Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. It's exactly the kind of feedback that makes the app better. I've taken it straight into the works β dropping right onto a folder with a clear target is on the way soon. People like you are what make launching here worth it. You're a gem!
