Hey PH 👋 I'm Simon, maker of Comnyang.
The idea started while I was using Claude Code. There's a tiny animated character that reacts as the agent works, and I caught myself smiling at it more than once. I thought: what if I made one I'd actually want on my desktop all day? And what if it were a cat?
So I made Comnyang, a tiny pixel cat that lives on your desktop. It follows your cursor, kneads the keyboard while you type, puffs steam and turns red when you go too fast, and grows big to stretch with you on a schedule.
The stretch part wasn't an afterthought. Every desk worker I know is quietly battling a neck or lower-back disc problem. I'm one of them. Most stretch apps either nag you or you turn them off in a week. I wanted a nudge that's so cute you want to stretch, not one you dismiss.
So Comnyang is meant to be both: cute enough that you'd keep her around just to watch her exist, and quietly useful enough that your back thanks you. You can also customize her fur to match the cat you actually live with.
Honestly, I made a drag-to-stretch motion and lost count of how many times I picked her up just to see her squish. Watching her knead the keyboard while I type is its own little reward.

Okay this just sounds too cute. A little pixel cat following my cursor, reacting when I type, and telling me to stretch?
I’m instantly sold.
How expressive is the cat? Does it have lots of different animations and reactions?

I have been using the app for 2 days now. It is brilliant and undeniably very cute. Everything works as intended, but there are a few features that I would like to request and some minor bugs I would like to address:
When using media keys on earbuds, headphones, etc., it plays the cat meowing instead of playing/pausing media.
Option to automatically open on PC startup.
The ability to adjust the texts, e.g. size, position, etc.
Those are just some of the smaller things that I have noticed, and I feel that it would be nice to have. Overall, it is a great product, and I look forward to future updates.

Hie Simon , i really like and enjoy this app you made and Comnyang has become my daily companion as i work
If you are ok with colabolation i would really love to help add more fun stuff to Comnyang like
AI mood/activity dashboard - a small overlay showing what your agents are doing in real-time (thinking, working, blocked), with per-agent stats for the day
Productivity pet evolution - the cat grows accessories or changes appearance based on how many tasks you complete or focus hours you accumulate (e.g., a hat after 10 completed tasks)
Agent-driven cat reactions - the cat could physically react differently per agent personality (e.g., jump-scare on Claude errors, purr on Cursor completions)
Desktop weather/climate integration - cat shows seasonal behavior (huddles near "heat" when cold, lies flat when hot, plays with snowflakes)
Git integration - cat reacts to commits, PR merges, merge conflicts (hisses at merge conflicts)
Screen time / break nudge - cat gets progressively more restless/annoyed the longer you work without a break, scaling beyond the current stretch reminder
Cat-to-cat network - two Comnyang users on the same network can have their cats interact/visit each other's

Hi, I am really enjoying Comnyang Cat so far — it adds a fun and cozy feeling while coding. A few small feature ideas that could make it even more delightful:
Add an idle sleep animation: after a configurable period of inactivity, the cat could slowly get sleepy and fall asleep with a small “zzz zzz” animation.
Before waking up, the cat could do a cute yawn and a small stretch when the user moves the mouse or presses any keyboard key, then return to normal activity.
Allow different cat appearances/themes based on Claude Code effort type (for example: relaxed, focused, intense, etc.) so the cat reflects the current coding mode.
Make the cat type side-by-side with Claude while Claude is generating code, giving the feeling that the cat is helping with the work in real time.
Add a playful limit reached animation for Claude Code (instead of a static state) — maybe the cat looks tired, flops over dramatically, or shows a funny reaction.
These are all optional ideas — the current experience is already really charming.

I bought the app. It's good one i gotta say.
Here's some suggestion:
Provide an option to transfer the license key to new device. currently the app doesnt have any.
Cat picks small scroll gesture also, maybe you can improve that in future updates.
