Colophon - A publishing house that behaves like an archive.

I write, and I publish my own work. The same thing kept bothering me on every platform I used: a published piece is treated as mutable content. Edit it, and the version somebody actually read is simply gone. Colophon is the opposite bet. A Work holds the writing. An Expression is one language of it. A Revision is append-only and carries the author's own note on what changed and why -- no anonymous diffs. An Edition is bound and sealed to one specific revision, so what a reader holds stays what they were given. Multilingual sits at the root rather than the edge: the seven expressions of one essay are all first-class, and nothing in the model ranks one above another. There is no feed, no follower count and no engagement metric anywhere in it. That is a constraint I designed in, not a feature I have not got to yet. It runs on the web and in the Microsoft Store today. The Android and iOS builds are with the stores for review. Happy to talk about any of it, especially the preservation and provenance side -- that is the part I most want to get right.
