Thank you so much for hunting Codesee! We're super excited to share CodeSee 2.0 with the product hunt community. If you are interested in trying you may have some questions or need to convince your boss to let you try it. We’ve put together a template on why you need a Google Map for your code workflow. Why CodeSee? CodeSee will help me to rapidly understand the code I’m trying to write because it visualizes the code and its connections. The faster I understand what code is there and how it works the faster I write new code. Ok but how? CodeSee’s code visibility platform is 4 parts, explore and prep, code, review, automate. You can explore your code by automatically visualize your services, your code, and you can layer on your architectural knowledge on top of the code. This is a super flex because CodeSee platform is super flexible and we can add features, gotchas, tech debt, plan that refactor we’ve always wanted to do, integrate that open source repo and so much more. This will help me make sure that I don’t miss hidden things in the code. Next you can gather all of this information to help you write code faster. When you're ready you can throw up a PR and you can visualize your change and it’s impact on the rest of the codebase. Basically do a self review. When you have it just right and you’re ready for reviews from others you can visually walk people through your pr for a super quick code review filled with what and why you made the change the way you did. Once your code is merged, you can automate everything that you learned. Code Automations help you automate your code knowledge. Do you forget what to do when you do a migration? Need to touch the auth file but always forget what soc 2 requirements need to happen? Need to change the routes file but forget to tag your boss? Code Automations can remember for you and only show up to remind you when you’ve changed the file. Hmmm but what does it do? Here’s a video describing it. Once, you watch it, you will see how it fits in with our org priorities. If you don’t either I or CodeSee’s team will be able to elaborate on how it will help us. Will the installation take me away from my workload? No. It’s about 10 clicks to install. Is it secure? Yes. CodeSee is Soc2 type 2 compliant and adheres to the highest security standards. How much does it cost? I can try CodeSee for free but some of the extra security features and Code Automations we may want are just $10 per month. And I think we may want to know where in the code our endpoints are being consumed so we need an Enterprise account to get Service maps. The CodeSee team has already agreed, they’d work within our budget to give us a good price. Can the rest of the team use it? Absolutely. But all of CodeSee’s information is synced with GitHub so if other members don’t use it, it’s all good. Does it interfere with the rest of the team’s work flow? CodeSee is integrated into our preexisting workflow like on GitHub and in VS Code. So while CodeSee is available if other team members want to use it, the day-to-day of team members who choose not to use it remains the same. Got more questions? If you have any questions, please feel free to check out our page otherwise me and my team will also be available for any questions or feedback in the comments.
Congrats on the launch !
Congrats on launch! It is helpful for developers. Try it out. Thanks!
Glad to hear that, Bruce! 🥳 Let us know if you have any feedback, we would love to know about your experience!
yes! Agreed would be overjoyed to hear your thoughts
This is quite amazing. It can make work error-proof and easy. Going to try it. Congratulations for bringing this to us
So happy to hear that, Gaurav! Let us know what you think!
Sure, will do.
Wishing you all the best :)
You’re so welcome! Be sure to reach out if you have any questions as you get started.
CodeSee made our entire development process easier. My team maintains a rapidly growing library, and being able to see at a high level everything that changed in a single image is just so, _so_ good! And the highly integrated way to do PRs directly from CodeSee is amazing. We still use the regular GitHub PR process for most PRs, but every so often we get a GIANT PR (usually due to a name change of a core component) that CodeSee makes trivial to take care of. It's just so good, and so easy, and the team has been hyper responsive to all of our requests. Every aspect of the product and the team is just phenomenal.
Thanks for the support, Jos! This means a lot to us. I'll make sure to share with the team, don't forget to tune into our livestream later on today!
Thank you for sharing and supporting! We’re so glad that CodeSee has made your development process easier.
That is so great to hear! Thank you for your support.
this makes my heart glow to hear
What a brilliant idea! I love it!
🚀🚀 Thank you for your support, Ashley!
This is a really powerful tool! I've been recommending this to all open source projects that I interact with. Kudos to the team for building this🎉

You can go to:
and be notified when we go live in a few hours!
We love hearing this! Thank you for your continued support.
That is an impressive set of functions, and I'm absolutely in love with this tool. For being a visual person and knowing most of our engineers like visualizing technical info with flows and diagrams, this tool is a must for really understanding your code structure. Also, your video demo... next level stuff! I shall be mentioning this on our Weekly SaaS Hunt stream on Monday.
I'm so happy to hear that, Biro! Let me know if you want more information for the stream! We're also doing a livestream today at 10:30 am PT for a "Behind The Scenes" session on the team behind CodeSee!
That’s awesome got a link?
Yes, I do! It's right here, you can click on it and request to be notified when we go live.
Thank you Biro! We’re so happy to hear you love the tool and will be mentioning us in your stream. Let us know if you have any questions.
Fantastic work! Congrats on the launch! 🏆
Thank you! What code repository are you using at Trickle?
I signed up thinking this will be another code review tool but, man, I was not expecting the Codebase Mapping feature, it was amazing to see all my code like that, would definitely help me in new hire onboarding! Kudos
Thanks so much! This is such nice comment. We really appreciate you ❤️
We love this! Thank you for sharing your experience. How big is your dev team?
Just 2 full stack devs including myself right now, hoping to scale soon!
Looks amazing! FYI I get the following error when attempting to register with my gmail. Error 403: disallowed_useragent You can’t sign in from this screen because this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browsers policy. If this app has a website, you can open a web browser and try signing in from there. You can let the app developer know that this app doesn’t comply with Google’s secure browsers policy.
Thanks for flagging this, Scott! I've brought this up with our eng team. Will keep you posted!
Can you share the browser you've used to access the app? Thanks, Scott!
It was on my iphone. It worked on my PC.
just confirmed we figured this out 🎉
