A Product Hunt discussion changed our roadmap (and now it’s in production)
A few days ago I commented on Flo’s discussion about confidential transfers and AI agents:
The conversation wasn’t about adding another blockchain. It was about something simpler: if an AI agent is spending my money, I want guardrails and visibility.
That discussion led me to look more closely at the @Solana Foundation / pay.sh ecosystem that @fmerian referenced.
We started researching what it would actually take to support Solana alongside our existing Base integration. That turned into a technical spike, then an implementation.
Today, Cloud World Model supports x402 payments on both Base and Solana mainnet.
We validated:
• USDC payments on both networks
• Chain-specific wallet sessions
• Long-running simulation jobs
• No regression on the existing Base implementation
We also submitted our Pay Skills registry pull request:
https://github.com/solana-foundation/pay-skills/pull/214
Thanks to @fmerian for asking questions that sparked the investigation, and to the teams building the ecosystem especially PayAI for making multi-network agent payments possible.
Sometimes a good community discussion is enough to change a roadmap.
