The important question is... will you sell my emails?
Looks like no! John Gruber's post about it.
And the answer is – no, we will not. Our privacy and data policy is on _every_ page of the website :)
That's awesome then!
CleanEmail helps you organize, remove, label, and archive groups of emails in your account.
Hi it sounds like a great product, but only working for gmail for now
Hi David, that is correct. We are working to add iCloud, Yahoo, and IMAP support in the near future. You can leave your email in the form there and we'll let you know when ready.
Thank you so much Eric!
I'll do it
iCloud please! Gmail does a decent job with spam. iCloud's email filtering leaves much to be desired.
Just updated the link to recognize ProductHunters – so the link now gives you 30% off a premium upgrade – any package. And you can clean/organize 1000 emails for free.
really nice concept and very timely with the unroll.me situation. I have some friends voicing concerns about privacy - I'll share with them.
Thank you, really appreciate that.
I can't find the link. Can you please give it here again?
here you go - (but at the moment it's 20% off)
Thank you
It seems to be in fashion to advertise to be more ethical than a known competitor. I always get reminded of Arrested Development: "Oh, also had this slogan made up. “A Colombian cartel that won’t kidnap and kill you.” I underlined “won’t,” cause it makes the competition look like..."
well, to be honest this was on our website since almost 2 years ago when we started. Data privacy and honesty were two big things for us since the very beginning.
Hi everyone, I'm Kyryl – founder of CleanEmail. I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
I use Boomerang a lot, and something has always bothered me. I was wondering if/how your tool can help. When a boomeranged ("this message has not been replied to") email is then replied to by the recipient, it appears in my inbox as though it was just a returned boomerang. By this I mean that it is - Unread - Has the tag "Boomerang-Returned" - Has the preview content of the last email that I sent to them The issue here is that I cannot differentiate from my inbox which returned emails have been responded to! That's a huge problem! Over a dozen times I have missed critical communications because I thought that an email was lower priority than it really was. So rather than being on the ball, I have neglected important emails for days.
That's a very good usecase. Let me think how we address that – I want to make sure I give a solid answer. Should I respond here or you prefer me to reach our personally (in this case feel free to shoot me an email to )?
Really hope I didn't kill your service with my inbox of almost 1M emails
that's also the main reason I'm eager to use your tool :)
You obviously did not (we have users with 4M :) but you mind reaching out to me via email to ? I have a feeling your interface will be pretty slow _and_ we don't have access to inboxes of other users which makes it very hard for us to test things. I'll be happy to work with you personally so we can improve experience for pro email users :)
oh yeah, 3 hours went by and it's still processing :)
The scan will take some time since Gmail API is throttling access per mailbox – that's expected :) My bigger concern is once you are in after the scan is done. From our prior experience this scan might take about 10 hours or so and can't really be done faster :)
Its weird to see this product is released just days after released Gmail Unsubscriber ( ) . I don't know if I should consider this a copy of what already exists. Not trying to undermine anyone's work here, but it would surely be better to see less instances of multiple products doing the same thing.
Hi Parin. I can definitely see how you can perceive CleanEmail as a clone of Gmail Unsubscriber relying solely on description. But we are not doing the same thing :) In fact if you scroll up to my response to Shlomo Klahr's comment you'll see me recommending Gmail Unsubscriber since CleanEmail does not actually unsubscribe you from anything. CleanEmail helps you delete emails, label, and move them. And it's not only subscriptions – we work with all the emails in the mailbox. I encourage you to give us a try :)
My bad. I was mistaken in judging the product from brief description.
Neat idea. Plenty of innovation on email automation, especially for Gmail.
But when will we reach Email singularity? ^^
Great idea, I was thinking to clean my in the next few days. Congratulation
Thank you :)
I wanna thank who helped me put together those screens you see on top. Paul, I really appreciate your help :)
