Circa Accord: Sleep Protocols - Sleep systems for creators, founders, and night thinkers

by•
Circa Accord introduces a new System Predictor modal and simulated SWS (Slow Wave Sleep) audio monitoring. The predictor analyzes behavioral patterns to generate recovery and cognitive load insights with personalized recommendations. The SWS system simulates sleep-cycle detection, acoustic stimulation triggers, and HealthKit-style background data processing for deeper sleep optimization. Project infrastructure was also refined for cleaner development management.

I started building Circa Accord after going through long periods of inverted sleep schedules while working in Shanghai. Constant late nights, overstimulation, irregular work hours, and an inability to properly switch off started affecting focus, recovery, and overall cognitive performance. A big inspiration behind this project came from neuroscience and sleep researchers like Andrew Huberman, especially around circadian rhythms, behavioral conditioning, light exposure, dopamine regulation, and deep sleep optimization. Most sleep apps felt passive to me — ambient sounds, meditation loops, generic tracking. I wanted something more structured: protocols instead of just content. Circa Accord explores sleep recovery through behavioral systems, protocol-based guidance, and simulated SWS (slow wave sleep) monitoring concepts designed around recovery and cognitive load management. Still early, but I’d genuinely love honest feedback from builders, students, night owls, and anyone trying to rebuild a broken sleep schedule.
