Cipher - Track your money privately, entirely on-device

by
Cipher automatically captures transactions from bank SMS and supported finance-app notifications, then gives you budgeting and spending insights without sending your financial data to a server. No account, bank linking, cloud sync, or internet connection required.

I started building Cipher because I wanted a finance tracker that didn't require handing over access to my financial data. The idea was simple: read transaction messages locally, turn them into a usable ledger, and keep everything on the device. The first version worked. Then I actually tested the parser and got 45% accuracy. That turned into a much longer engineering project than I expected. Since then I've rebuilt parts of the parsing pipeline, tested it against real Indian transaction messages, added notification parsing, budgeting, recurring payment detection, spending insights, widgets, encrypted backups, and a lot of smaller improvements. The parser is now at 88% accuracy, and Cipher has gone through Google Play closed testing before this public release. I'm launching it here mainly to get feedback from people who care about privacy, Android, and personal finance. If you try it, I'd genuinely like to know what feels useful, what feels confusing, and what you'd change.
