Hi everyone, I am the solo developer behind Cinetic. I built this project to solve a persistent issue in modern digital streaming: choice paralysis. Deciding what to watch—especially with a partner or a friend—frequently turns into 40 minutes of unproductive browsing across fragmented catalogs. Cinetic replaces static menus with an interactive, social system focused on low-friction curation: 1. Card-Based Discovery & Mutual Matching: You swipe right to save, left to pass, or up to rate. If you and a friend independently swipe right on the same title, both receive an instant match notification and the title moves to your shared queue. 2. Cinetic Blend: Beyond simple matching, Blend analyzes your cinematic compatibility with friends. It compares your watch histories across 6 dimensions—Cinematography, Psychology, Philosophy, Character, Atmosphere, and Dynamism—generating an overall compatibility score, an overlap radar, and tailored compromise recommendations. 3. Personal Library, Ratings, and Notes: Users can log watched titles, assign 1-5 star ratings, and record custom notes to build a clean personal archive. Each entry also includes integrated streaming platform availability so you know where to watch immediately. 4. Sharable Passes & Identity: The platform models your stylistic tendencies into a defined cinema identity (such as "Neo-Noir Explorer") and generates exportable 9:16 ticket cards showing your director inclinations and taste breakdown. 5. Daily Streaks: A built-in streak and streak-freeze system designed to keep discovery consistent without demanding long sessions. The entire interface was designed from the ground up on a dark OLED palette to maintain focus on poster art and typography. The app is live and free on both iOS and Android.
