Cinephile - Track anime, movies and series offline, on your desktop

Cinephile is a free Windows app to track anime, movies, web series and documentaries without an account. Your Backlog, Vault, Hall of Fame and albums stay on your PC, nothing goes to a server. Show any list as a bookshelf of poster spines, and group titles into your own albums. Open source, built with Electron.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Veeral, the maker of Cinephile. I built it because most trackers want an account and keep your watch list on someone else's server. I wanted something that works like a personal notebook: open the app, and your lists are there, on your own PC. What it does: - Browse trending anime, movies, web series and documentaries - The Backlog (to watch), The Vault (completed) and Hall of Fame - Book view: any list shown as a shelf of book spines made from posters - The Multiverse: your own albums with custom covers It's free and open source, with no account, no analytics and no server. Your data stays in a folder on your computer. Download for Windows: A few honest notes: - Windows only for now, and no sync between devices yet. - The installer isn't code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you. Choose More info, then Run anyway. - It comes with a shared TMDB key so it works right away. If posters ever stop loading, add your own free key from the key button at the top right. I'd love your feedback: what's missing, and what would make you switch from your current tracker? I'll reply to every comment today.
