ChronoMatch scores 51,000+ watches across 40+ spec fields — case, dial, movement, bracelet — to find genuine alternatives to any watch, not just cheaper lookalikes. Track your collection, get price-drop alerts, and search by typing plain English or uploading a photo.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Lucas and I built ChronoMatch because I kept running into the same problem as a watch collector: every "find an alternative" tool out there is really just a price filter. Type in a watch, get back anything cheaper, whether or not it looks or performs anything like the original. So ChronoMatch scores similarity across 40+ actual spec fields, such as case shape, bezel, dial texture, movement, bracelet, water resistance, complications, clustered into aesthetics, build, size, function, and prestige. It's the difference between "here's something cheaper" and "here's the one that's actually close." A few things it does: → Search by brand/model, by using the AI assistant in plain English ("something like a Speedmaster but under $2k"), or just upload a photo → 51,000+ watches, ranked and scored, not just filtered → Track your own collection with price history and price-drop alerts → Compare up to 3 watches side by side It's free to search, although some features are available only on the premium subscription. I'd genuinely love to know: search for a watch you own or want, and tell me if the top match surprised you, good or bad. That's exactly the feedback that improves the algorithm. Thanks for taking a look!

the photo search actually works pretty well, threw in a pic of a Speedmaster and it pulled up legit alternatives instead of just cheap homages. really useful for tracking collection values too.

Great to hear it is working as intended! Still a few tweaks to go, and I appreciate your feedback!

Searched for my Speedmaster and got back some genuinely thoughtful alternatives, not the usual Seiko suggestions every other site throws at me. The photo upload actually picked up the dial correctly too.

That was my goal! Get away from every budget options falling back to Seiko, and provide real alternatives not only for budget but also availability, or something just different but equally good. Thank you for the feedback!

Searched by typing "thin dress watch under $500" and it actually understood I meant hand thickness, not just case diameter. Nice touch having the 40+ spec fields to filter through.
