Chores Together: Shared Tasks - Turn mental load into shared responsibility

Most chore apps help you assign tasks. They don’t solve the mental load. Chores Together is built for couples and roommates who want shared responsibility without nagging or resentment. Create tasks, earn points, and unlock rewards. Choose personal rewards for yourself or shared rewards you both agree on. No manager role. No invisible labor. Just fair, transparent teamwork.

Hey everyone, I’m the founder of Chores Together. The idea started after I saw a Belgian news story about a woman who tracked every household task in Excel. When she added it up, the imbalance was undeniable. The spreadsheet became proof of something she had felt for years. That resonated with me because most household arguments are vague. You are not arguing about dishes. You are arguing about effort and mental load. So I built a simple iOS app for me and my partner. Shared tasks, agreed point values, personal rewards, and shared rewards you both approve. It did not remove conflict. It changed the shape of it. Disagreements became concrete instead of emotional. I am intentionally keeping it simple. Would love your thoughts. Does making effort explicit reduce friction, or does it risk turning relationships into scoreboards?
