Choose Like Buddha - A daily mindfulness practice with no right answers

Version 2 replaces the quiz with a daily practice. Five short items a day, two honest options each, no score. Patterns shows where you actually lean, and the gap between what you'd choose and what you did. Free, no ads, no account.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm the solo developer behind Choose Like Buddha.

The first version was a quiz. You'd see a situation, pick an answer, and learn whether it was the "mindful" one. People liked it, but I came to think it was teaching the wrong thing. Most of us already know the wise response. The hard part is choosing it when it counts.

So version 2 removes the right answers. Each day you get five short items, one from each of five concepts: Right Speech, Kindness, Patience, Letting Go and Mindfulness. Each item gives you two options a thoughtful person might pick (tell them, or spare them? wait, or press?). Nothing is scored.

The part I'm proudest of is Patterns. It shows where you actually sit between each pair, with one mark for what you would do and one for what you did. Most of us expect to be more patient than we turn out to be. Patterns shows that distance instead of hiding it. One honest note: it only draws a mark once there's enough to mean something, so give it a few days.

Also in the app: Ask Buddha, for an AI perspective on a real situation (not therapy), and guided breathing.

The full practice is free, with no ads and no account. The Enlightened Path is $3.99 a month for more Ask Buddha questions, your full history and all four breathing techniques.

I'd love to hear one thing: where's your biggest gap between what you'd do and what you actually do? And any blunt feedback on the practice is welcome.
