ChatPlikacia is growing — 500+ people have joined us on Google Play 💙

A month ago, I shared ChatPlikacia here on Product Hunt.

At the time, the idea was simple:

What if dating started with a conversation instead of a swipe?

Since then, ChatPlikacia has passed 500+ downloads on Google Play, and we’re getting closer to 1,000.

That might not sound huge compared to the big dating apps, but for an indie app built around a different approach to dating, every new person matters.

ChatPlikacia is built around Daily Rooms — small anonymous conversations with 4 people. Names are hidden and profile photos start blurred, so you have a chance to connect through conversation before appearance takes over.

We’re continuing to improve the app, listen to users, and figure out what actually makes people want to come back and talk to someone.

And now I have a question for you:

What would make you choose a conversation-first dating app over Tinder/Bumble/Hinge?
