Charta CMS - Flat-file Content Management System for HTML websites

Charta puts the page first — not the dashboard. No bloated admin panels. No plugins to manage, databases to configure, or subscriptions to pay. Drop it on any PHP server, log in, and edit your page content directly in the browser — visually or in raw HTML. Your content stays in plain HTML files you actually own. Charta just makes editing them easy. Lightweight. Self-hosted. Yours.

I built this because I create a lot of HTML-based sites for customers, but they always want the ability to edit or update some text.

Congratulations, @brechtryckaert! This line caught my attention: No database. no drama." Outstanding.

However, I noticed one thing. Your site says no plugins to manage and you're selling a one-time purchase. That feels like a finished product. Okay. But then in the FAQ you mention image-editing and video-management are still being built.

As a buyer, I might wonder if I'm paying for what exists now or for what's coming later.

It's better to clearly separate what's ready vs what's planned.

Just a thought from me because I audit product pages daily.

Thank you, that is great feedback. I'll add a roadmap indeed.

As you probably notice, I'm more of a development kind of person than a sales person ;-)

@brechtryckaert Appreciate that, Brecht. You are right. Builders often focus on the product first, and the messaging catches up later. That's where I come in.

I spotted a couple of other things on the page that could help with clarity and trust. Happy to share them if you're open to feedback.

What's the best way to send them over? Email or somewhere else?
