What's your biggest challenge when trying to contact rescue services offshore?

We built CH16 after working in maritime rescue coordination centers. The problem we kept seeing: mariners in distress who had the right equipment but couldn't quickly identify which rescue centre covered their position or how to reach them. Wrong centre. Outdated contacts. Language barrier. No signal and no information saved offline.
We built the app to fix exactly that. 350+ MRCC and JRCC contacts worldwide, interactive SRR map with real-time zone detection, MAYDAY and PAN PAN generator to GMDSS standards with audio playback, Man Overboard GPS mode, and a Passage Plan that automatically notifies the relevant rescue centres along your route in their own language.
Curious to hear from sailors here. What has your experience been when things went wrong offshore? And what would have made it easier?
