I built this assistant because I wanted the old IDE AI assistant back. AI coding help has become complicated: configs, MCPs, browser use, skills, todos, and what else? It’s getting slow and expensive :/ ... I don’t know if someone feels me when I was building simple things and now I end up building complicated source I cannot understand anymore. This tool is not a step back, but an alternative choice for those who want to build something simple, and if you believe the CLI agent is overkill, this is for you. Ceres may be the only code assistant today that works inside the editor without going to the browser and back to the IDE again and again. Fully integrated into the IDE, it can read any file or terminal output without copy and paste, having smart buttons to directly send block suggestions inside your editor, smart AI apply, and apply terminal commands inside your IDE terminal. But anyway, do you feel that your agentic development is the feature and you are uninstalling your IDE now??? Or do you feel that your agent is stealing your focus and your budget?
