Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Todd, and Cats Lock is the result of my cat repeatedly walking across my keyboard during work calls and sending things into Slack I cannot legally share here. I figured a small, focused utility that just does the one thing would be useful for anyone else living through this. So here it is. The #1 request since launch was "can it just lock when the cat shows up?" It can now. 🐈

Smart Detect watches for cat-style typing (several keys held at once, rapid scattered bursts) and locks the keyboard on its own, so you don't have to reach for the shortcut when a paw lands. The part I'm proudest of: it runs entirely on your Mac, uses no Input Monitoring, and is opt-in and off by default. If it ever guesses wrong, one tap on "That wasn't my cat" unlocks and helps it tune.
