I've been collaborating with the CARTO team to develop Martian-based applications, such as http://openplanetarymap.org/exolss. Both their support and the platform have proven to be highly reliable and adaptable to solving a wide range a problems.

Pros:

It's so easy to create beautiful visualisations, and offers at the same time powerful analytical capabilities for geospatial data.

Cons:

It's only getting even better with time, integrating new features for data scientists that I can't wait to get my hands on!

Pros:

Lots of power and customization. Very good intermediate mapping program for someone who has the basics of GIS down and wants to spread wings

UI can be a little tricky for new users.
