Totally changed the way I present the product in the hero
I spent the last few days reworking the hero section for careercraft.ing.
The product itself did not really change. The way I explain it did.
The previous version was too focused on what the app does: capture wins, organize evidence, prepare better career material.
That was accurate, but it skipped the sharper problem:
Most engineers do not lose career progress because they did not do enough work.
They lose it because, by the time reviews, promotions, or resume updates come around, the proof is already fuzzy.
So I changed the hero to lead with that problem first, then explain the product around it.
The new direction is more like: Tell your agent what you did. We turn it into promotion-ready evidence.
It also leans more into the actual workflow: using tools like Claude, Codex, Cursor, Raycast, Goose, Continue, or any MCP client to capture work while it is still fresh.
Would love thoughts on the new hero direction, especially whether the first screen makes the problem clear fast enough.
