The bigger vision for CareerBoard

by

CareerBoard starts as a workspace for job seekers, but I think the bigger opportunity is much larger than that.

Today, job search is fragmented for both sides.

Candidates jump between job boards, resumes, spreadsheets, emails, notes, LinkedIn messages, and application portals. Companies, on the other hand, receive a lot of applications that are hard to evaluate quickly because the signal is often buried or missing.

Both sides spend too much time dealing with noise.

CareerBoard begins by helping candidates organize their search, understand job fit, tailor applications, prepare for interviews, and track progress in one place.

The next step is to make this useful for people who support candidates at scale: coaches, bootcamps, universities, communities, and career teams.

Long term, I am interested in building CareerBoard into a smarter layer between candidates and companies.

Not just another job board with more listings, but a system that understands the candidate, understands the role, and helps both sides find better matches with less wasted time.

That is the direction I want to explore after launch.
