According to a 2022 PwC Global Consumer Insights survey, 80% of online shoppers are interested in offsetting their carbon footprint. However, only a small percentage of online shoppers actually do so. One reason for this is that offsetting carbon can be complex and time-consuming. Online shopping accounts for about 2% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon in a Can solves this problem by making it easy and affordable for consumers to offset their carbon footprint from online shopping. It needed to be so easy, even my mom could figure it out. Amazon shoppers can add a Carbon in a Can virtual can to each order and one mangrove tree will be planted in their honor. On average, most Amazon orders generate approximately 5-10 pounds of carbon (not including production of the product). One mangrove tree can remove approximately 20 pounds of carbon from the atmosphere per year.
