Hello people πŸ‘‹! When I was a student I used a lot group bulk messages to invite my friends for a party or a dinner. I was sending message like "Hello people, I invite you to my party tomorrow, please let me know if you join?" and only the closest friends were answering. Then I improved it to "Hey dude, how are you, I invite you to my party tomorrow, please let me know if you join?", and I got a little bit more answers because it looked more personal. It's only when I added the name of my friend instead of "dude" that I got the highest rate of answers. But what if you have to invite 50 or 100 people πŸ€”? it takes ages to copy paste and change the name! That is why I decided to build TextBlast πŸ’Œ, that helps you to send personalized mass messages easily using your friend's name (with the option of editing before sending). It will take you 5 minutes instead of 5 hours πŸš€! This is actually a life saver! I will use this to promote my new website 😁. Very well design, straight to the point and intuitive app also, I am starting to get convinced by NativeScript ☺️ Did you test if SMS have higher answer rate than WhatsApp for example?

Thanks a lot! You will see it works good. Well, for the answer rate it really depends on the people you are targetting and your country. In France a lot of people are still using a lot SMS instead of Whatsapp

I've been using this for informing friends and family for a launch of a new product (ask them to give it a try, provide feedback, etc.). You can also create a group of contact that includes the most closest people in your network for different purposes (e.g. invite them for an event, try your new app, etc.). Indeed very handy!

what is the basic difference between other sms tools?

With Textblast you can automatically append the Firstname or Lastname of your contacts, also the SMS are sent from your device and not a third party number. So your friends really knows that it comes from you. Does this answer your question?

I see there is an inapp purchase - is that for a certain amount of use? Guessing this is not for business use as there will be no opt out?

Hi, the inapp purchase works forever, it's a one time purchase, it unlocks the number of groups and contacts per group. Unfortunately as you were guessing there is no opt out 😟 Maybe this can be implemented in the future.
Thanks for confirming - perhaps put a message in app to remind people of this so to use it when they have permission to message people and not for business as it won't conform with data protection across the globe - just to cover yourself!

Needs a search function on the page to add contacts to a group. I have thousands of contacts so can't easily add a dozen or so for a group.

I've been using this for the user testing purpose. When I launch something new, I'd reach out to friends and family to give it a try.

Pros:

- Helps you to reach out to your close circle when you launch a product - You can create a contact group which you can reuse everytime

Cons:

None
