Cool project ! I am already planning to use it for my next project! You reckon that is easy to build a npm library? I am also curious I will give it s try myself 😬 By the way, good point that you didn't restricted only for ProductHunt purposes and you can customize it. Well done! 🙌
Thanks it's very easy I used this boilerplate: then you just need to use the command "npm publish" that's it!
Hello Makers 👩‍🎤👨‍🎤! I just built this open source npm library to easily invite your users to support you on Product Hunt. I actually did it in order to learn how to build an open source npm library that I could use for my own products (I was always wondering how to make one 🤓). You just need to copy paste some code to your website to run it. It takes no more than 1 minute 🚀. You can also customize the widget passing some parameters: colors, text, url, size and use it for non Product Hunt related promotion! Also it will appear only once per user by default (except if you decide the opposite). Feel free to fork it, improve it and change it as you want! I hope you like it ♥️
doesn't the product hunt algorithm penalize for direct traffic to a product?
According to this article from Product Hunt, it's not true:
I added it to my bookmarks for my next product launch! Thank you
Thanks! I am looking forward to see it in action on other websites!
Good idea, very useful and easy to use. Thank you!
Thanks a lot!
Found it pretty useful for my next launch on PH. Thanks for building!
Thanks for hunting
I will use it too !
I hope it helps!
Awesome ! Definitely going to look into this for my upcoming launch.
I'm glad you like it!
Definitely integrating this into our platform! Super useful!
Interesting project. I like the idea, but wouldn't direct-linking to the ProductHunt topic penalize the upvotes you get from it? Would be cool to see this for Reddit & HN, too, though I imagine they have similar penalization issues.
According to this article from Product Hunt, it does not penalize the upvotes: No idea about Reddit & HN but you can easily use this library to also invite users to upvote for other platforms!
WOW! Will use it for my next product launch in a few days!
Cool :)
