Calculator Notepad gives you a place to both take notes and perform calculations. Supports basic arithmetic, variables, trigonometric functions and more.
Wow @sylvester_wilmott1 , This is awesome. Congrats for product launch!
It is open source. Looking forward to contribute there.
One question -> Any plan to create PWA for this?
Report
@sylvester_wilmott1@shubham_verma12 The problem with PWAs is that they don't benefit from traffic from the app store, and they consume more battery, is that ?
@shubham_verma12 Thanks for your question! It might be useful to have the calculator in it's own window so PWA is a possibility. However, like @fares_aktouf mentioned, the benefit of the Chrome Web Store is organic traffic.
@fares_aktouf@sylvester_wilmott1 Yes agree. But in long run when you started getting traffic you can think of PWA. Why I am saying because chrome extension restrict us to use only on laptop/desktop. The concept you made is something we can use anywhere. Most user use mobiles more frequently then laptop. I am looking forward to give PR for this
Hi! I'm Sylvester, the creator of Calculator Notepad.
I wanted to share a little bit about the background of Calculator Notepad.
I work with numbers on a daily basis in my day-job as a designer, whether it's statistics, pixels or colour values. I would usually turn to my computer's built-in calculator for all my calculation needs but I wouldn't exactly describe that as "peak productivity". What started as a personal project to build a specialised calculator to speed up my processes eventually went on to turn into Calculator Notepad. Ultimately, by sharing I hope that Calculator Notepad can improve productivity for others in the same way that it has for me.
Calculator Notepad is still in early days and may not be as feature-rich as other calculators in the same style but I'm always open to suggestions.
I appreciate all your support and feedback.
