BuyLocalized shows you which products on Amazon.com are made in the US. We've got a huge and ever increasing database, and we want to allow people to purchase locally made goods with the least amount of friction. We do the research once so you don't need to.

I was ticked off with how time consuming it was to buy goods that came from countries with environmental, political, labor or ethical standards I agreed with. I wanted to make it as easy as possible for others to buy with their conscience, and so decided to make an Extension. Currently we just show products that have been made in the US, though in the distant future we would like to have many more countries. You browse Amazon like normal, and if we have researched and found any listings that you have searched as from the US, that box appears towards the top of your Amazon page showing you those listings. If we haven't found anything nothing happens. There is a team of 4 of us working on it, 2 researchers a developer and me. We're adding a ton of listings every day, 4-5k, and do a lot of research over each company we approve.
