Why we built an offline-first encryption engine in Rust & WASM šŸ”āš”

Hey Product Hunt community! šŸ‘‹

With BS SecureVault dropping a few hours from now, we wanted to dive into the technical core of why we built this.

Most online file lockers rely on server-side encryption or heavy cloud setups that still expose metadata and session tokens. We wanted to build something completely sovereign:

• Pure Client-Side Execution: Zero server calls. All cryptographic operations execute locally in Web Workers via WebAssembly.

• Argon2id Key Derivation: Protecting passphrases against modern GPU/ASIC cracking arrays with memory-hard loops.

• Sovereign .bsv Spec: Standalone container format with zero telemetry wrappers.

Question for the privacy-focused folks here: What's your biggest dealbreaker when evaluating "zero-knowledge" security tools?
