The best way to organize, share, and discover your LEGO sets around the world from the palm of your hand, now with Discussions to engage the community to chat about LEGO!
Hey everyone! We've launched a brand new feature for brickd called Discussions! Discussions allow you to create conversations around a link, text or even a poll within the brickd community. It's a great way to talk about new set releases, show store hauls and more. Check out an example of a discussion on your favorite set release for September here: https://getbrickd.com/discuss/gm...
In addition, we have launched our paid subscription feature called brick Builder which gives you a wealth of new features in the app for power users. You can use the code PHLAUNCH to get your first month free! Check out at the features at https://getbrickd.com/builder.
I'd love to hear your feedback on this feature, thanks for checking us out!
Awesome update, @gregavola! Discussions sound like a game changer for the LEGO community. Finally, a way to chat about my latest sets without interrupting my builds! Can't wait to join in! 🧱

Okay, this Discussions feature sounds cool! A few questions though -
- Can you pin specific discussions to keep them at the top?
- Are there any limits to the number of discussions we can start?
- How does the paid subscription differ from the free version?
Looking forward to trying it out!Good luck with the launch.
@asherdorianthorne hey there!
- you can’t pin discussions right now - maybe something to consider for the future!
- there are no limits right now to how many discussions you can create!
- check out https://getbrickd.com/builder to get more details on the paid version!

Hey, Aarchi here, I really like the idea of bringing LEGO enthusiasts together, but I'm curious, how do you plan to make the discovery feature stand out when there are already similar apps out there, the community aspect sounds cool but what's gonna keep people engaged in discussions beyond just showing off their collections? Maybe consider integrating some kind of building challenge or collaboration feature, just a thought since that could really bring people together in a more interactive way, looking forward to seeing how this evolves
@aarchitechgeeks we have challenge and badges to earn in the app under the explore tab. You can join and earn rewards for earning new achievements for certain themes or piece count!
Hey Greg,
Do you have plans to integrate any gamification elements into the discussions, like badges or rewards for active contributors?
How are you moderating discussions to keep things family-friendly given LEGO's broad appeal?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin we have Challenges - which are like badges - that you can opt into to earn!
Moderation is something we have already where you can flag posts that I review! More tools in the future!
Great job, @gregavola! The Discussions feature is exactly what the LEGO community needed. It's awesome to have a dedicated space to talk about our favorite sets and share tips. Any plans to introduce user profiles or badges for active participants?
People in the replies underestimate the demand for such niche tools. Just look at bricklinks traffic figured. The demand is definitely there! Good job and good luck! :)
What a cool idea! Discussions sound like a fun way to connect with other brickd users and share new finds. Love the addition of brick Builder for power users too!

I see the idea behind this app but I wonder how it actually adds value, I mean, sharing and organizing LEGO sounds fun but do we really need another platform for that, what makes it so special, hope you guys have thought this through, looking forward to see how the community reacts.
@ingaecochief hey there! I honestly believe there isn’t a platform like this currently - geared toward mobile users.
There are tons of websites around LEGO and collecting / but nothing that aims to be a network or community with these features. Yes - you can join a Facebook group and talk about LEGO - but all the features in the app are geared toward the LEGO experienced which I think adds value.

Cool idea to have a platform for LEGO fans, but do we really need another app for something we can do on social media, feels like a cash grab 💰, maybe try focusing more on unique features that other platforms don't offer, good luck!
@b2bbooster brickd aims to allow you have a social network around LEGO - and those features are unique to the service.
Other platforms don’t have the vast LEGO database, recommendations, piece count and sticker information - also where it but it - all in a mobile friendly package. 😅
