Hello Product Hunters! My name is Jake Guernsey, founder and CEO of Break The Web. With this app we have three goals: make it insanely easy for people to stay up to speed on what’s happening in the digital world, bring everyone to the same table in an age of echo chambers, and create a news consumption experience as thrilling as TikTok. We spent three years building the proprietary data processing technology (CT-X) required to make BTW possible and poured everything we have into the product’s design and user experience philosophy. Break The Web is a super cool concept for tracking online trends! 🌐 One thing I'm wondering: how do you ensure the AI-generated summaries remain unbiased and accurately represent the diverse viewpoints on highly polarized topics? Keep breaking the web! 💥

@p_val Great question Val. Most products that use AI to summarize the news will feed somewhere between 1-6 articles into the prompt, which creates a relatively high risk of hallucination and bias because it's not a lot of "evidence" for the Large Language Model to work with. Break The Web, by contrast, is built on a new clustering algorithm that's designed to auto-sort trending news content by topic in real time with an ultra-high degree of accuracy and volume. This allows us to feed way more source articles into every prompt (75+ in many cases) which radically increases the accuracy of our summaries and also allows for a range of diverse political views to be represented to eliminate bias. I LOVE this app. Part of my daily morning ritual with great coffee and a quick start to my day. In minutes I’m on top of what’s happening across the web, have a snapshot of the news and a finger on the pulse of what’s trending. Plus, I especially like that I can quickly get different viewpoints on a topic. Great way to start my day. Thanks BTW!

Love this app! One of the most used apps on my phone for a reason. It’s great for both discovering trending topics that don’t appear on other apps, and doing deep dives on those topics from a variety of perspectives.
