BookMosh is an independent, algorithm-free home for your reading life: not a black-box feed. Track shelves, status, ratings, and lists with data you control. Library Mode caches your library for offline browsing (ideal when signal dies in bookstores). Post Looking For when you want recs from people you trust, run Pits for group chats around a book, and send recommendations directly. Chronological updates from friends, not a For You ranking. I am really excited to share BookMosh with you today. I built it because I wanted a calm place to track reading that still felt social: friends first, chronological updates, and no mystery “For you” feed. Library Mode caches your whole shelf so you can browse offline, which I use constantly in small bookshops with bad signal. Looking For is there when you want real recs from people you trust, and Pits are for the nerdy group chat once you pick a book. You can also send direct recommendations and import from Goodreads or StoryGraph. BookMosh is independent, reader shaped, and still early. I would love your honest feedback, bug reports, and ideas.
