Transform reading into a daily habit with Book Reading Habit. Track books, set goals, get personalized insights, and organize your digital library with iCloud synchronization.
Hi Product Hunt — it’s me again! 👋
I’m back with a new release for Book Reading Habit: the app is now available on macOS.
Book Reading Habit started as a personal experiment to help me read more consistently. Instead of setting ambitious goals, I began with short sessions of just 5 to 10 minutes. That made reading easier to start, easier to repeat, and eventually easier to turn into a real habit.
The macOS version brings that experience to a larger screen, making it easier to manage your library, review your progress, and keep your reading routine going from your Mac.
You can now:
* Build a consistent reading habit with flexible, timed sessions
* Track reading streaks and see how consistently you’ve been reading
* Add notes while reading or come back and write them later
* Track progress across your books
* Organize your library with custom shelves
* Import and export your library
* Use widgets, Siri Shortcuts, and automations for quicker access
Privacy is still a core part of the app.
Book Reading Habit has no ads and no social feed. Reading does not need to become another public performance or competitive metric. The app is designed to stay calm, focused, and personal.
The free version supports up to five books, with unlimited reading sessions, notes, streak tracking, and shelves. Monthly, yearly, and lifetime upgrades unlock unlimited books, import and export, automations, and additional features.
I’d love to hear what you think:
* How does the macOS experience feel?
* Are streaks useful for keeping you consistent?
* What is still missing from the app?
