I use this extension a lot when I need to hide some sensitive information before taking the screenshots, and sending them to support customers, creating documentations, etc. So I hope it will be useful for you! Let me know if you have any suggestions, so I can make it better. There is also a discount for Product Hunters. Let's go to the official website and play a small game, get the discount, and have fun!

The website is absolutely amazing, I love the demo and the blurred discount. However, I'm not going to pay for something that can be done for free!

@youngorwell How would you do this for free? Using software you already purchased (e.g. Illustrator or Photoshop)?
Umberto Abbatantuono
@chriscchan Cloudapp, for instance, allows you to blur any sensitive informations after capturing a screenshot. You may also use online tools like https://www.photopea.com/, softwares like Gimp and why not, "purchased" softwares like Photoshop.

@youngorwell Wow, thanks for the recommendation! I didn't know about photopea.

@chriscchan You're very welcome! I'm not trying to discourage people from using Blurpage, but someone may want to opt for a free solution. :)

@youngorwell @chriscchan Monosnap has a blur feature.

I would be interested how your bounce rate on the purchase site is and if you can generate a lot more revenue with a lower price.

Pros:

simple integration, very easy to use interface.

Cons:

way too expansive for an addon that let me select an html element from the DOM and adds a CSS class containing the blur effect.

I don't like it

@damjanski @youngorwell Thanks you for the feedback. It's my weekend project, but after one day I got a lot of useful feedbacks via Twitter/ProductHunt, and some people sent emails directly to me. I don't expect a little playground can bring friends/followers and a lot of useful advices/suggestions like this. Thanks ProductHunt community!

A good idea and method, but Greenshot free screen capture tool has a blur effect tool. A bit expensive for an app. Best of luck
