From founder of Billingbee.
The idea started from a simple frustration: freelancers don't just need an invoice — they need the entire client journey handled, from the first proposal to the moment money actually lands in their account. Most tools solve one piece of that and leave you stitching together three or four apps to do the rest.
So we built BillingBee as an AI-powered client revenue platform. Describe a project in plain English, and it writes the proposal, generates a contract for e-signature, and creates a tax-ready invoice — all in one flow. Clients get a branded portal link to sign and pay without creating an account, and if a payment goes late, AI handles the follow-ups automatically.
Along the way we also built in AI cashflow forecasting, GST-ready invoicing for Indian freelancers, and multi-currency support for anyone billing clients abroad — because most tools are built for one market and bolt the rest on later.
Billingbee is free to start, no card required. We'd love your feedback — especially on what's still missing from the "getting paid" journey. Happy to answer anything in the comments today!
Described a project and got a usable proposal in under a minute, the GST-ready invoicing for India is a nice touch too. Wish the free tier had a few more than 5 docs though.
@mesutwosj Thank you so much for your feedback! We're really glad to hear that you were able to generate a usable proposal in under a minute and that you found the GST-ready invoicing helpful.
We also appreciate your suggestion about the free plan. We've kept the 5-document limit to balance costs while making BillingBee accessible, but we're actively evaluating the free tier based on user feedback like yours. We'll definitely keep this in mind as we continue improving the product.
Thanks again for your support and for helping us make BillingBee better!
the GST-ready India billing part is genuinely useful, but i'd love to see a built-in TDS tracker since most freelancers here still scramble at year end to figure out what was deducted. could be a huge time saver if it pulled straight from the invoices.
@icguzar82979 Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We're really glad you found the GST-ready invoicing useful.
A built-in TDS tracker is a fantastic suggestion, especially for freelancers and professionals in India. We completely agree that automatically tracking TDS from invoices and making it easy to view throughout the year would save a lot of time and effort during tax season.
We'll definitely consider adding this to our roadmap as we continue improving BillingBee. Thanks again for sharing such a valuable idea—it helps us build features that truly matter.
One thing that would make this a no-brainer for me is a built-in time tracker that feeds straight into invoice generation. As a freelancer I usually bill hourly, and right now I'd still have to manually pull hours from another tool before running it through BillingBee. If the platform tracked time per project and let me convert those sessions into line items on the invoice in one click, it would save a real step every week.
@fikretroxn Thanks so much for the feedback! You're absolutely right—this is a feature that would make BillingBee even more useful for freelancers who bill by the hour.
A built-in time tracker with one-click conversion of tracked sessions into invoice line items is definitely on our roadmap, and we plan to work on it soon. We really appreciate you taking the time to share this suggestion—it helps us build features that solve real-world problems.
Thanks again for your support, and stay tuned!
