Hey everyone 👋 I'm Aniketh, the maker of `Before`. The idea came from a problem I kept running into myself: I'd wake up, check Instagram or Reddit "for a minute," and suddenly my morning was being shaped by whatever happened to be on my screen instead of what I actually wanted to accomplish. Further, my headspace then got clouded with cheap dopamine hits that derail the rest of my day. I tried habit trackers, productivity apps, and screen-time tools, but most of them only helped after I was already distracted. So I built Before. The idea is simple: 1. Open Before each morning 2. Set your intentions for the day 3. Distracting apps stay blocked until you do The whole process takes less than a minute, but it's been surprisingly effective at helping me start the day intentionally.
